    UNDEFINED

The uses of artificial intelligence (AI) abound in all areas of human activity. Employment and social protection are no exception. Many decisions regarding access to social benefits, training or employment are left to machines. Human intervention is therefore reduced or even next to nil. This loss of control weakens people's rights. It is likely to produce discrimination and amplify social inequalities. However, the challenges of this digital revolution in the social field remain largely unknown to the stakeholders (i.e. designers, users, people targeted by the treatments and public decision-makers). Risks and issues identification induced by the deployment of artificial intelligence is nowadays a central issue in access to social rights. This recent field of study must be invested without delay. It seems essential to develop exploratory and interdisciplinary research on AI in social matters to identify the challenges, uses and risks involved.
